See here for info about an open forum with Providence Public Schools Superintendent Donnie Evans. Folks with kids already in school may have a lot of issues to discuss and lots they want to hear - same goes for those who are just entering the public school process. I know that there are a lot of questions floating around about getting accurate information about school registration questions, and maybe some of those questions will be able to be aired.
The forum will be from 6-8pm on Tuesday 12/4 Adelaide High School, 375 Adelaide Avenue. Please see this flyer for full details.
I can't make it, unfortunately, as the forum conflicts with a previously scheduled meeting of the Nathan Bishop Steering Committee, of which I'm a part.
So, anyone planning to go? What do you want to ask, and what do you want to hear?
I thought it was very interesting that in the ConnectEd phone message Donnie Evans said he wanted to discuss "communicating to" the parents - as opposed to communicating "with" the parents!
